Group Trip to Uganda

6 DAYS PRIMATES & WILDLIFE:


Day 1: Drive to Kibale National Park

In the morning after breakfast, you will embark on the drive to
Kibale National Park via Fort portal. The drive will take you
through a beautiful green vegetation and tea plantations. Fort portal
town is situated at the basement of Rwenzori Mountain referred to
as the Mountains of the moon.

Arrive at your lodge (Hotel #1) in the late afternoon. Lunch will be en-route.

Important note: We will be staying at 3 hotels during our travels.

 

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi swamp walk


In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to the park
headquarters for briefing about the Flora and fauna found in the
park, you will be allocated a chimpanzee group to visit. Afterwards
you will start of your journey into the forest in search of the chimps
which are our closest relatives. Kibale is regarded as the primate
capital in East Africa so you should expect to meet other primates

along the way like the Red-tailed monkeys, Black and white colobus
Blue cheeked mangabey to mention.

In the afternoon after lunch, you will head for the Bigodi swamp
walk in search for numerous bird life like the great blue turaco and
small monkeys for example black and white colobus.

Arrive at your lodge (Hotel #1).

Day3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Afternoon
Launch Cruise.


After having breakfast, you will embark on a drive to Queen
Elizabeth National Park, you will drive through the beautiful crater
region with a lot of appealing sceneries including numerous crater
lakes and the beautiful countryside landscapes.

 

In the afternoon after lunch, you will head for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel,
a natural channel connecting two rift valley lakes, George, and
Edward. During the cruise you will encounter large concentration of
wildlife along the banks of the channel like Hippos, Elephants,
Buffalos, large number of birds including winter visitor species.

After wards you will have a simple game drive as you drive heading
to your lodge.

Note we will leave for Hotel #2 on Day 3

Day 4: Bwindi & Ishasha/ Tree climbing Lions


After breakfast, you will drive heading to the southern part of Queen
Elizabeth to Ishasha Sector which is famous for tree climbing lions.
Along the way expect to meet big number of games including
Elephants, Buffalos, different types of antelopes, baboons to
mention but a few. In the afternoon after lunch, you will proceed
with the journey to Bwindi impenetrable National Park, which is a
home for half of the world’s Endangered Mountain Gorillas.

Arrive at Hotel #3 on Day 4

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking/community walk/Transfer to Lake
Bunyonyi (optional)


In the Morning After breakfast, you will drive to the park
headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking activity.
Afterwards in the company of the ranger /guide you will head into
the forest in search for mountain gorillas, along the way expect to
meet different flora and fauna of the forest as your guide will try to

explain each and everything. After meeting the gorilla group, you
will be given a one hour stay with the gentle giants before
embarking on your journey heading out of the forest.

In the afternoon, you may go for a community walk around the
Batwa community as you discover the unique mode of living of
these people who were originally forest inhabitants. However, you
can also opt to be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi which is the second
deepest lake in Africa.

Stay at Hotel #3

Day 6: Drive to Kampala/ Entebbe Airport
After breakfast at your Lodge, you will embark on a journey back to
the capital. The drive will take you through a beautiful scenery of
the western countryside of Uganda through lush green hills. You
will have lunch along the way and a stopover at the Uganda Equator
for souvenir shopping and a photo moment as you say goodbye to
Uganda.

 

Arrive in the late afternoon and you will be transferred to
your hotel or to the Airport depending on your flight schedule.

FAQ.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend?

Yes, you'll need a Yellow fever vaccine to enter. This one is a must for every traveller entering Uganda. It is advisable though not mandatory to travel with antiMalarial drugs.


Covid Entry requirements?

For Covid , the country just requires negative covid results taken within 24 hours prior to arrival as it is with the CDC requirement. All requirements are subject to change before arrival. Hopefully we will not need to take a test before entering in 2023.

Covid Exit requirements?

All passengers going back the to US must present a negative rapid test 24 hours prior to boarding. This requirement can be subjected to change! 

Can I arrive a day early? Or stay a day late?

Yes, of course. Please let me know how long you chose to stay and you will have to pay the difference​

Do I need to apply for a Visa to enter Uganda? 

Yes, before arriving in Uganda it is a simple process. You'll have to go online and apply for a visa to enter for a small fee. I can provide you with the link prior to arrival. 

Do I need a passport to enter?

Yes, Both you and your child will need a passport to enter.
