Where I stayed?

Fiesta Inn is a newly build hotel. Highly recommend to stay at here. Fiesta Inn is not a resort but the hotel area is safe, it allows you to have more freedom. The staff have great hospitality. The warm receptionist welcome you in and take care of you. The staff have well spoken English so there was no language barrier.Any questions you have ,they have an answer!Where to eat, party, shop, and excursions.You name it! They got you covered, after all most workers there are locals. Fiesta Inn has many amenities to take advantage of! They have two bars, one on the first floor and a rooftop bar.Take advantage of the rooftop bar to watch sunsets and sunrises. Food served here is delicious and not badly priced. If you can't skip a work out like me, they have a gym here. The infinity pool has a stunting view of Playa. A few blocks down you can find the beach. You can also walk down to Fifth Avenue which has tons of shopping and restaurants.

Why stay in Playa Del Carmen?

Playa is in between the center of Cancun and Tulum. Its convenient if your planning to visit most of Mexico. Tulum is an hour south. Cancun is an hour north. Riviera Maya is a 19 minute drive.The island of Cozumel is a 30 minute ferry ride away! Cenotes are located here in Playa and Tulum. Visting the cenotes is a must! A cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapsing of limestone bedrock that exposes ground water underneath. Playa allows you to take various day trips.All ages can find something to do here, as well as families.

How to get to Cancun Airport to Playa?

Book a car to pick you up before arriving. Its easy and less of a hassle. Its the safest way to travel, especially if your traveling alone.You can book a shared or private car to Playa round trip roughly for 35$!! Expedia normally has numerous deals. Its a trust worthy site when booking transporation.

What is there to do in Playa?

If Your enjoy history Mexico is the place to be. Mayan ruins and pyramids are located here.Chichén Itzá is the most visited. Xcarte Park has snorkeling and cave explorations. Rio Secreto is an underground river! Simply amazing! No matter where your going in Mexico the beach is always near. On the beach you can find jet ski, para sailing, and boat sailing. If your not staying on a resort and you want to book a water sport ahead of time, try www.viator.com. On Fifth Avenue you can find numberless things to do. Playa has a fantastic night scene. Bar after bar. Club after club. Mexicans know how to party. The clubs party to all genres so its very diverse here.If you want a real Mexican experience and don't have two left feet, try to salsa at Salon Salsanera.

Where to eat?

Benefits of not staying on a resort is that you can find real authentic Mexican food pretty much anywhere. You'll find that any Mexican place you go to will serve you with chips and homemade salsa! If your staying at Fiesta Inn they can give you a card to La Parrilla. Get a complimentary welcome drink with the purchase of your meal. The food is authentic here. El Fogon has tasteful Mexican food. La Vaca Gaucha has delicious empanadas and homemade sausage, originally from Argentina . Chez Celine is French but the prefect spot for brunch!
