Volunteering In Medellin, Colombia at the Angeles de Medellin Foundation.

Thank you to all that donated to the Angeles de Medellin Foundation. We were able to supply 180 kids with school supplies, food, & necessities they needed.

The money donated to the organization go towards food, clothing and medicine, educational classes in English, computers, sewing, manicure and pedicure, hair styling etc. Most of the educational programs are for single Moms to give them an opportunity to learn a skill, and change their

lives.

The Angeles de Medellin Foundation is the oldest Foreign owned Foundation in Colombia. The foundation is located in a very remote region in the valley with the majority of the families displaced from the Colombian civil war and the drug gangs.

They cannot drink the water in their homes, and it's only been 1 year since the government brings clean water to specific locations.

The Angeles de Medellin Foundation was founded in 2006 & so far there has been volunteers from 105 countries and 45 of the 50 states.

I’m happy to say I got the chance to visit the kids and enjoy their time! We had a lot of fun teaching each other our languages & play games! I’m already planning to go back soon because I miss the kids already!

In my olden years I could definitely see myself doing more volunteer work when my kids are older and leave home.

If you ever visit Colombia & want to volunteer your time or donate you can always reach out to Mark Via Facebook & search the Angeles de Medellin Foundation.
