Sandalwood. Koh Samui, Thailand.

(STUNNING views from our pool in our villa)

The stay at Sandalwood?

The moment we got in the car from the airport we were treated like kings and queens. We honestly felt as if we met the friendliest and accommodating staff working in the villas. On-site we were welcomed with hand made flower necklaces, drinks, fresh fruit, and even a welcome sign with our name in the lobby of Sandalwood. Once we were settled in our 2 bedroom grand pool villa we pretty much stayed here for our entire stay. After traveling through the city of Thailand, this villa was the perfect place to unwind and relax.

We had a 2 bedroom that gave us the option to have privacy with me and my hubby away from our daughter while napping. The villa is very spacious and allows you to move around freely without getting in each other's way. On the other hand, it allowed us to still be close and spend time together as a family. In the villa, you have a full kitchen to cook if you may or simply call up room service and have a sit-down dinner as a family in the kitchen. Or perhaps just sit out by the pool on a giant floaty while the sun glazes down on you. Don’t worry about who's going to be able to shower first after the pool! You have two sexy elegant bathrooms that both have showers. In the master bedroom, there is the jet jacuzzi bathtub and a freestanding deep bathtub in the second bathroom.

Imagine waking up from both rooms, you'll be able to see fascinating views of the sea and mountains from the long glass doors. It's truly a romantic site to see. These are called travel luxury goals! It’s all about the views! Haha, If I'm ever visiting back in Koh Samui, for sure I will return to Sandalwood Villas. I had an over the top experience. I recommend all my friends and family for an enjoyable stay!

Location?

Sandalwood is located in Bo Put. This luxury resort is located high in the mountains with an overlook of the fascinating blue seas of Koh Samui. Nearby beaches; Silver and Crystal Beach are within distance of a short shuttle ride. Sandalwood is the perfect hideaway if you just want to escape the hustle and bustle. It's a private residence and due to the fact that the villas are located up so high, you won't have to worry about any disturbances. If you're in dire need to leave the villa there are shuttles 24/7 to take you where you need to go for an extra fee or complimentary depending the hours. Numerous activities await on this beautiful island within driving distance, so your never to far from that action of Koh Samui!

How to get to and from your hotel?

Sandawood offers a free shuttle to and from the airport to the hotel. Its about a 20 min drive from the airport. Guests must contact the property with arrival details 72 hours prior to arrival.

Things you should know?

  • Sandalwood offers a complimentary private shuttle to the nearby beach crystal and silver beach. As well as shuttles to and from Chewang and Lamai throughout the day. The shuttle runs every hour. You'll be given a cell phone to contact the front desk when you need to be picked up. No need to worry about using up your own data or if your phone would even work!

  • The villas are in located high in the mountains. If you're in for a hike it's a long way down to the bottom or just simply take a shuttle. If your renting a car or scooter the hill is very steep with no guard rails. I felt more comfortable with the staff driving since their more familiar with the roads, especially at night because there are no street lights.

  • The steps to most villas are very steep. Depending on which villa you choose to stay in you may want to request a villa that has easy access to your doorstep. We stayed in the 2 bedroom grand pool villa which we could either walk up the steep stairs or have the option to be driven around on the top of our villa and only walk down one flight of stairs.
